Hey!

A friend told me, he enhanced his sound with some c37 stuff.
He just painted it on his speakers.

I don't think that's possible

Anybody heard of that?

Hi Frank,

he CHANGED the sound of the speakers. Normally synthetic resin lacquer like c37 changes the resonance spectrum of the loudspeaker diaphragm. If it's better?

Hey herbert!

he just told me, that the sound was better after having painted his speakers.
So I think, panting the spekars somehow changed the sound.

painting of the speakers might have changed the characteristics of the wood on his speakers and he thinks its better....ask him how better is it ? ask him to qualify and quantify "BETTER".

maybe the sound is now very forward and bright or it may be more melow...who knows...but please dont try these stunts on good speakers....if C37 was so great it would be an international phenomenon.

everywhere in the world freaks use very special things. but i think when you got really good components you wont need any c-37 or any other of these things!

I strongly feel after he painted his speakers he might have accidentaly arranged it in the right order where you derive the best performance.

This is undoubtedly true, but you can make a good component sound even better. I have treated my loudspeakers (silbersand 501, active) with the c 37 laque and it sounds better for me since then. I think we should not judge that treatment if we haven´t made an attempt.
That´s my point of view. We ought not to generalize on any term.
