you get linked into rapidshare.com or rapidshare.de
they are separate companies....

if you opt for the free version you can download 1 part immediately but the next download can be resumed only after a break of 2 hrs after the end of the download of the 1st part..
so its up to you to go for the premium or the free service...

the links either direct you to the part of the file or to a single rar file that seems to contain 0 kb. downlaod it anyway and open the rar file and you will find a txt file which will give you links to whole file...

Yes, Sir, I DO have a question... Not related to what you have written... Maybe you can help.

I use EAC (Exact Audio Copy) to copy CDs on the HDD, as a wav file and a cue sheet.

For reasons unknown, about 20% of the time the cue sheet is corrupted ( The cues are not in ascending time ). Hence cant burn a CD from the HDD.

There Must be a simple way / program to resample the Wav file, and automatically regenerate a new Cue sheet.

I have tried EAC and adobe Audition ... cant seem to find a solution.

I Dont like splitting the wav and reburning individual songs... it looses track numbers, names, CD Label etc, which have to be done manually....

Can you help ?

I use EAC to rip cds and then use nero to burn it at the lowest speed possible. Works for me.

I normally convert APE to FLAC directly and then split files...I love the foobar2000 for playback. No media player can beat it.

Yes, I did pay for 1 month's premium a/c on Rapid Share, and also upgraded my Broadband A/c to unlimited downloads... ;-)

My Computer was busy all thru the weekend..

I have noticed that a 400 MB APE files takes several minutes to convert to WAV, and though I dowloaded and installed the FLAC adapter for Nero, I think that converting on the fly (while burning) would create additional errors on the CD. These errors would ofcourse be handled by the Error Correction in the CD player... but I prefer to keep the Digital Data as pristine as possible, specially considering that I want to re-create as close a replica to the Mo-Fi original....

PS: I know I am sticking my neck out ... but I am convinced that a computer duplicate NEVER sounds the same as even a garden variety original, leave aside an Audiophile pressing like Mobile Fidelity.

All the notes are there... but the ambience and maybe the 'soul' is gone...

Any opinions on this from other forum members ? I guess a prereq. would be that the existing system reprocudes the recording site ambience and creates a 'being there' with the original CD, before conmparing it to the CDR.

I think computer is one of the best CD readers/music repository provided you carry it clean to the amp.And considering managment and cost of storage and retrival I think the quality degradation happening is worth considering.

But all I can say is that never ever use the apple lossless format...
You are better off with a Slim devices than with any APPLE shit.
DRM will kill you someday....
for me .... my computer automatically scanned my HDD and deleted illegal ALAC and WAV files...you will be wondering if you had a virus attack....Yes its the APPLE DRM virus...never store your apple software on the same computer as you digital collection...even if you do...dont ever update the software from the internet...
FLAC is free and efficient...free is the way to go...Digital is hard to cage...

I have an awesome SLIM DEVICES SQUEEZEBOX 3 and my made myself a good computer server....all those fancy words 'NAS" will eat into ur budget.
torrents are great but you are at the mercy of seeds... but its great too...
Piratebay is OK but I like Mininova.org and Demonoid.com and BtJunky.com

Buy a CD - Plonk it into a CD Player. Listen to it.
