Der gute Uwe hat für nächstes Jahr ein Sequel (mit Sicherheit DtV) zu seinem Blockbuster angekündigt, bei dem der Dolph die Hauptrolle übernehmen soll.

Dolph Lundgren has signed up for "In The Name of the King 2".
The actor will take on the lead role in Uwe Boll’s movie, in which he will play a war veteran who is sucked back through time to battle sword-wielding bad guys.
"The Expendables" star told blogtalk radio: "I play an ex-middle ages war veteran who gets f**ked up but he gets pulled into some sort of medieval power struggle, kind of gets a bit of a redemption for all his pains in service. It's a role I just wanted to play. It's fun to exercise my acting chops once in a while. I've got to get ready for "Expendables 2"."

Speaking about the plot - which is set in the kingdom of Ehb - director Boll said: "It's like contemporary, right now big city, and we have Dolph Lundgren basically being a cop or like a fighting coordinator working as this, and one night he gets attacked by ninjas in his house and fell with the ninjas into a vortex back in time.
"And then it turns out it's like 50 years after the first part "In the Name of the King" ended, and Ehb is destroyed and everybody is dead, Jason Statham and everybody who was in the first part, got wiped out.
"They say he was basically sent into the future, he's the son of Jason Statham, and he was sent into the future, brought up in an orphanage, because the parents felt that they would all die. So he is basically the last survivor of the kingdom of Ehb so he should bring the kingdom back in charge.""

In the Name of the King 2" is set to start shooting early next year in Canada.

Teil 1 war schon sowas von scheisse (nein, das spoiler ich nicht), dass Teil 2 nichts anderes als der beschissenste Film aller Zeiten werden kann...

Uwe Boll macht Filme mit meinem Steuergeld... für mich gehört der Typ mal ordentlich durchge********...

Man kann ja sagen was man will, aber objektiv betrachtet, war Teil 1 durchaus ansehbar. Er ließ zwar einiges vermissen, aber Optik und Score waren gut und ansonsten hab ich vom Uwe schon deutlich größeren Müll gesehen. Teil 2 wird alleine schon wegen Dolph rocken.
