Problem mit Pioneer A-109 Verstärker

hi,

ich bin neu hier und hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen.ich habe gestern meinen Pioneer A-109 bekommen und getsern abend direkt benutzt.nach einer gewissen zeit merkte ich allerdings wie der linke lautsprecher immer leiser wurde und dann plötzlich wieder lauter...so ging das eine ganze weile.laut leise laut leise.allerdings nicht so rapide sondern alswenn man den lautstärkeregler langsam laut und wieder leise stellt.der regler allerdings stand konstant in der mitte und wurde nicht bewegt.sonderlich warm war der verstärker allerdings auch nicht.von daher ist mir das ein rätzel wie es dazu kommen kann....ist der verstärker defekt?

so ich hoffe ich habe euch das problem etwas verständlich beschrieben.ist nicht grad meine stärke.

Hi,

This is a rather difficult problem to diagnose with having the amplifier on hand.
In the past Pioneer had problems with motorised volume-control potentiometers, especially in the early Surround Sound receivers. They exhibited exactly the kind of problem you describe, but only from zero to about 1/3 of the max. volume-setting. Replacing the potentiometer-unit was the only cure for the problem.
In your amplifier they use ACX-7035 or ACX-7038 units. I just don't remember, if they are the ones with problems. I do remember that the defective units were made by Alps.
Another component that can cause similar problems is the Speaker-Relay. The amplifier is around 7 years old and the contacts could be corroded or worn out.
Then again there is the Input Select IC. The electronic switch that switches between all inputs and the pre-amplifier circuit. It uses a TC-9163AN chip, that also is known to become defective.
