Hallo, sorry i'm not writing in german, but i could't find any info in others hdtv forums, because most of them are american and there are diferent models and those models in germany are the same in my country.

So i need 32 lcd,i'll watch HD movies(connected with PC hdmi-dvi cable),dvd,dvb-c and planing to buy xbox360 in the future.I'm choosing between these models:

Sharp 32GA9E
Samsung LE32R75B
Philips 32PF7331
Panasonic 32LX60
LG LB1R

Prices are almost the same, diference is max 50euro

First of all i'm expecting good picture quality and then other features. Thanks

PS Plz admins don't delete my post.

Hello Smirgels,

where are you from? I'm sure there is a AV Forum from your country aswell.

However, most TVs accept a nativ pc signal only via VGA (which looks better than a scaled picture over HDMI / DVI). For this purpose are Samsung and LG pretty good (some LG models even accept a nativ signal over HDMI / DVI).

If you are willing to spend a bit more money you should look into the new Samsung N series.

I'm from lithuania,as far as i know picture quality via HDMI-DVI cable is better, but it's not important.Samsung N series are more expensive,it's 100hz panel and so on,but is it worth it to pay more? How it's picture quality compared to R7?

We have one newsgroup and one forum, but that forum is hosted by local dealer so they try to sell old junk hdtv.lt is coming, but i don't know when it will be online.

The N Series doesn't support 100Hz (for the better), the picture quality is better compared to the R series to put it simple the colors are much richer. The R Series is still a good choice for the price. The price difference between R and N are over here about 300 - 400 Euros of course you have to judge yourself if it's worth or not to spend extra money on the N series.

N series is too expensive for me.Few days ago was a hude sharp price drop and 9 generation models prices are the same as previous 8 gen models,so i'm considering GA9E,how it's PQ compared to the R7?

Haven't seen the Sharps in action, but I hear a lot of good things about them. You should take a look for yourself first and than decide what you would consider to buy.

next week i'll go to the shop and try to watch all these models in action. Also i found in one forum interesting thing:

One thing not mentioned in the review is that the pixel shape and positioning on most Sharp display's is a little odd. Adjacent columns of pixels are offset half a pixel so a straight line on a Sony vs Sharp display would look like:
Sony: ----------
Sharp: -_-_-_-_-_

Many of the Sharp panels also seem to have vertically elongated pixels, not square. For NTSC matetial this is a feature, but for HDTV and computer generated content this is not conducive to sharpness and rendered geometry.

Is it true?

I got no idea if this is true or not, even if it's true as long it looks good it doesn't matter.
