I am looking out for MIL spec Ear sound muffler for hearing protection, to be presented to my XYL who is objecting me to play music at a loud level of 95 db plus.

Where can I source it in Bangalore market – SP Road? Any lead please?

Well, we are all offenders occassionally. I'm still lost in music - say what's the time. And I'm not on headphones

How loud?

If it really requires you to buy ear muffler's for rest then you gotta be a PA lover. Upgrade to PA set up soon.

Jokes apart don't bother wife too much then you might need ear mufflers.

On a serious note, I was looking for something similar. As I live in an area of the city where loud processions for Ganapati, Durga festivals pass by I needed something to help me block out the noise while working. I was advised to look for "earplugs that F1 Racing drivers use." This seemed like bizarre advice at the time but was told that sporting stores that keep authentic F1 racing gear (given its rise in popularity) might stock the item. Did not have any luck though!

Try 6 to 7 sporting goods stores. Ask for soft squeeze type earplugs. If you try hard enough, you will eventually find them for around Rs. 50. They're hard to find as Indians would rather go deaf, than wear them. I almost got lynched by the organiser of a Bombay rock concert when I used my plugs.

Thanks, Neutral. I'll look for them. Will be sure not to take them with me to a concert ...unless they play ballads and then all bets are off.

Guys, I dont know if you have ever tried on this stuff.

It fits TIGHT around the ears to get a good sound proof seal....

to me UNCOMFORTABLY TIGHT...

Are you referring to the protection used by firearm shooters? They are very effective against the sound from explosions, but if u wear them for too long, your head will explode in pain. Soft squeeze earplugs are the most practical and you can wear them in cinemas (during the ad break) and during rock concerts.
