Paramount übernimmt Howards "The Serpent and the Eagle"

Die als Regiestoff für Ron Howard gehandelte Geschichte um die Eroberung des Aztekenreiches durch die Spanier "The Serpent and the Eagle" wird jetzt von Paramount übernommen. Vor drei Jahren hatte Howards und Brian Grazers Imagine Entertainment mit ihrem üblichen Partner Universal den Historienstoff erworben. Brian Helgeland soll das Drehbuch schreiben nach der Vorlage von Hans Beimler und Robert Wolfe. Donald de Line und Alli Shearmur produzieren für Paramount.

Wann "The Serpent and the Eagle" in Produktion gehen wird, ist offen. Schließlich steht für Howard demnächst erst die Bestsellerverfilmung "The Da Vinci Code" an, der im Sommer 2006 in die Kinos kommen soll.
