For sale are a pair of eAR 1001 Class D Monoblocks.

They are hand made in Denmark and use the 1000ASP Icepower modules which are the same ones used by Rowland, H2O, Bel Canto, etc.

These amps sound amazing and put out 500W @ 8 ohms and 1000W @ 4 ohms each. They will easily drive any speaker. I am selling for the sake of upgrading and trying something different.

Amps are 1 1/2 years old and are in perfect condition. I am the original owner and bought them factory direct. The covers have a glassy finish and there are some minor scuff marks which probably can be buffed (I haven't tried).

The current price for a new pair is approx. Rs. 1,25,000 + shipping. I will sell them for much less for a quick sale. PM me with a reasonable offer.

Note: The photo shown on the site shows a single pair of binding posts per pair. I had mine factory fitted with 2 pairs of binding posts per amp to make it easier to bi-wire.

Great Pictures in the Picture Gallery part of the site. Sore really serious speakers were being driven with those amps. I am sure they must be really great products. I wish I could have heard them. They might be a revelation !!!

All the best in your sale !

I sure hope you move up the 'ladder' in your mew amplifier purchase.

Offering the pair for 60,000 for the PAIR. I think this is a good price for the product. My new amp has come and I have no place for these.

Any questions, PM me...

Did your new power amp come ?
How do they sound ?
Are they better than your AR's ?

I really wanted to listen to the AR's.
I hope they get sold in Bombay. I would love to hear them.

Hi,

Yes the Electrocompaniet has come. Outstanding amplifier and much warmer and full bodied than the AR's. All in all a great amplifier.

The AR's are also very good amplifiers but I would be lying if I said they are AS good as the EC. The EC IS 3x the price. However at the price I am offering the AR's for, I can assure you, you won't find better sounding amps.

Cheers...

Congrats MSB. I am sure they have found a good home !

If they have been sold in Mumbasi, I would LOVE to hear them.

Incidentally, Nova Audio in Mumbai is now the Electrocompaniet dealer ( I'm told ).

Which Electrocompaniet amp have you bought ?

Im told that their entry level integrated amp is not priced astronomically ( ofcourse that is SUCH a relative statement )

The companiy's amps are based on work by the ledgendary Dr. Matti Otala who coined the term "TIM - Transient Intermodulation Distortion" and sowed the seeds for low (overall) feedback designs in audio amplification.

All Electrocompaniet products continue to be well received.

GREAT for you.

Yes. I spoke with Mr Sushil Anand and he informed me about the EC dealership. I have the Electrocompaniet AW-250r which is truly an amazing amplifier.

When I bought it, I auditioned a few other amps in the same setup including a Mark Levinson, Mcintosh, Rowland and one more I can't remember. Prefered the Electro over all of them.

The AR's have not been sold in Mumbai. I sold the amps together with my Magnepan 1.6's. When I hooked them up, he loved the sound so much that he took the speakers too! Sad to see the maggies go, but the BUG makes me want to move on.

That is a very very interesting observation !!

Can you be a little more explecit ? Please. What models ? Which Speaker ? Rest of the Chain ? etc.
It will help me a lot to understand the Electrocompaniet better;
Actually after Mr. Abrahamssen has left, I was not sure what new was Electrocomaniet doing....

Update shall be truly appreciated.

Hmmm... the Prelude series amps. wonder how much Nova is selling em for. There are 2 models, I believe - a 50 watter and a 100 watter!

Going by the Electrocompaniet's design (circuitry) and sound, I'm sure these will be brilliant amps. They look good too!

Sir it did not;

What I got is put up. Besides, someone knows who Abrahansen is in itself a big thing.

This is too small a thing to take any further, I was just pleased to know that the 'indian audiophiles' knew such products and such great designers.

I sure hope that our listning opportunities and avenues grow and expand in the same manner !!! We need it.

P.S. The site shows up on page 2 of the search. www.escholding.com

Sincerely agree with you here. knowing products and knowing personalities who in some ways define the industry are two different things

Still it's not exactly an "entry level". But then again, I guess one could call it the entry level to Electrocompaniet stuff!

Hi Shahrukh !

This is Electro...'s Entry Level.

Actually Electro... makes 2 series, Entry & Mid Fi.
Except for their Nemo, their other products are average at best. Nada too is not bad. But nothing to write home about.
I used to have their CD Player [EMC-1 UP - 24/96] many years back. Very Very far from what its competation could do.

The Build Quality too looks Russion [although it is Scandanavian]. Not worth the money - IMHO. Ayre is amp of my choice at this price point.
