CD-Player Technics SL-PG390 spielt nicht mehr.

Also mein CD-Player Technics SL-PG390, den ich übrigens gerade vom Sperrmüll heimhabe spielt keine CDs nicht. Der Player sagt nicht "no CD" sondern es steht einfach 00 0:00 da. ich kann auch "weiter" drücken, dann steht halt 02 00:00 da.

Nach dem Öffnen habe ich festgestellt dass sich die Scheibe dreht und der Laser leuchtet. ein ganz kleiner roter Punkt in der Linse ist zu sehen. Wird die CD vom Motor (die Halterung) genommen so wird auch die Laserhalterung auf und abgefahren, wie es sich gehört.

Habe leider keine Ahnung von Cd-Playern, jedoch in sachen Elektronik und so (

) etwas erfahrung.

Vielleich kann mir jemand hier weiterhelfen oder einen Tip geben!

Hi,

Most likely the Laser is dead >>Kaput!<<
The complete mechanic with motor, chassis & laser is VERY in-expensive if you use the Philips CDM12.1 unit, ASWO partno.: 372975.
Original partno.= RAE1100Z which is also awailable but much more expensive.
Still, you should be able to adjust the laser after replacing the mechanic, and that's not so easy.

But when i can see the red tiny point in the middle of the lense what exactly is damaged??

Another Question: Is the digital signal from the CD directly connected to the digital optical output? Or are there any converters?

Hi,

You wont believe just HOW many faults can be in a laser, that still emits red light

Anyway, the STRENGTH of the light is important.
Lasers wear out and become 'dull' & weak. This can possibly to some extent be compensated, at least for a while, by re-adjusting the laser-output. Usually done with some small potentiometer found on the base of the laser-unit.

Then there's the lens. A laser can also be defective because it's not able to focus on the CD. The lens can be dirty (very normal fault) and light cleaning with a cotton swab will restore normal function. ....IF the dirt is on the outside part of the lens, which is normally the case with ordinary dust-particles. If the player was used where people smoke a lot, the smoke particles may be INSIDE the lens-unit, and you can't clean it.

There is also the hair-like bearings for the lens that may get damaged by some blow to the player. Something very likely when the unit was thrown out. The lens is skewed and no longer able to focus the laser onto the CD.

thank you for your answer!
i turned the potentiometer some turns to right. then "no CD" displayd. then some turns left and then the laser saw the cd because the no-cd info didn't dispayed.

Hi,

So, you are in luck

The laser is just worn but not completely worn-out.
At least your CD-player will work for some time now.
When the problem comes back (NO CD), then it's time to replace the laser-unit.
