Weatherproof(outdoor) speakers in Bangalore?

Hi

I badly need help on this from experts. For the zone 2 of my receiver, I am planning to set up a pair of weatherproof speakers in my garden . I live in Bangalore. Can someone please recommend something ? I guess basically you get 2 types - the rock-type speakers that are buried in the ground or the traditional wall-mount types. My budget is around Rs 25,000. Some internet research showed that B&W and Bose have some outdoor ones.

Can someone please help on what to choose and from where?

you can try the Electrovoice EVid 3.2 or the 4.2, they are weeather proof PA spks. If you want more info on prices or where to get them, pls PM me.

Dear Manishk13,

You could consider Tannoy. These speakers sound pretty good.
The i5AW or the i6AW. These are outdoor weather resistant speakers.

I am very happy to report to the forum that I settled for Bose 251 outdoor speakers for my patio/garden. Paid a bomb (Rs 28,000) but very happy with the rich sound quality.

My set up is now complete:

Onkyo TX-NR 900 with 2 zones
Zone 1 has 5.1 set up with Sonodyne Towers, Rears & Center (I mostly play this zone in stereo mode but for a odd DVD)
Zone 2 stereo set up(in the garden) has Bose 251 outdoor speakers
Source : Ethernet port streaming to the 2 zones mentioned above all the CDs ripped at 192 kbps stored on my computer. Also have hooked up worldspace. This has made my 600 CD collection largely redundant !
