First of all hello everyone! I am totaly new here, and i do not speak Deutch, so that is the reason that I´m writeing in English.. I hope it will be Ok, because i couldnt find any place that has more information han this! So, here is my problem: Few days ago i have bought DENON 1404 AVR and Infinity TSS750 Speakers System.. I have also bought DVD Player from Philips (i do not know the model but it plays Divx..) So.. I have connected everything as i should and bla bla bla (only audio part).. TV-AVR, DVD-AVR, AVR-Speakers, AVR-Woofer! But, then when i turned on the system I was so disapointed!!! BASS was so quiet! On a max walue od a Woofer it was so so so quiet!!! I connected it to the SUBWOOFER OUT from DENON, And on the connector that is for DOlby Digital amplifiers.. I tryed with other also (On it there are 2 connectors for diferent Amplifiers, or AVR-s - I am speaking about Woofer). I have High Frequencies, and qualyti of sound is nice, but there is no basssssss.. So so quiet! I get it only when i change some settings, like JAZZ CLUB Effect, ROCK Arena.. bla bla bla.. But even then it is not like it should sound!! Not even close! NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! When i bought it, the guy played it for me, and i heard them loud and clear! hey were the best in the shop! Hmm.. Now, i went to the shop agan, and he gaved me a cable to connect it like this.. From the DENON goes a Sub woofer cable, and then it splits to both inputs on a woofer... (For DTS and for AVR-s wthout DTS or Dolby..) Please! PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!! Thanx in advance! |

hello, have you already look in the denon "on screen disply" menu? you can set the subwoofer and the other speakers and you can try out some settings. you have the "on screen menu" when you connect the denon receiver (from the monitor out) with the video input at your tv. (sorry, but my english is not perfekt) good christmas! |

Ohh.. I do not know the model, but here is the specification! Subwoofer Frequency Range: 34Hz – 150Hz (+/–3dB) Amplifier Power Output: 150 watts RMS, 500 watts peak Low-Frequency Driver: 10" MMD™ Crossover Frequency: 50Hz - 150Hz, 24dB/octave continuously variable Dimensions (H x W x D): 16-3/4" x 10-3/4" x 15-3/4" (425mm x 273mm x 400mm) Weight: 28 lb (12.7kg) I can hear the BASS sound but it is to soft.. Hmm.. I will try connecting the AVR with TV, but i am so desperet! Und entchuldigug.. Mein Deutch is auch sehr slecht! Ich fersthen ales aber ich kan nicht schriben! Sie kennen schriben in Deutch! Thas is egal fur mich! Aber bitte geben mir hilfe! Uhh.. For exmpl. When i use some sound effects, i can hear the bass better but it is still to tooooooo week! The sub level potenciometer is set to max, and my stupid Sony plastic space look all in one system sounds better! And it costs like 100 Eur! Where should i look in the on screen menu!? Does any one of u has a Denon AVR and STRONG bass? I am useing Infinity TSS750 speaker system! Uhh.. What should i do! Happy X-mass to all of u, and i wish u all the best! A lot of happynes and everything that u wish for! God bless u! |

Hi Sale, enter the speaker-setup of the receiver. Adjust all satellites and the center to "Small" and the LFE/Subwoofer to "ON". If this does not work, try following: Connect the speaker-level inputs of the subwoofer to the L&R speaker-outputs of the receiver by speaker wire the l&R satellites must be connected to the speaker level outputs of the subwoofer.(Please switch off your system and turn down the volume level of the sub during the manipulation to avoid damages) Enter the speaker setup of the receiver again and adjust front L & R speakers to "Large" and Sub to "OFF". (Thus all sub signals including .1 are re-directed to the sub) After swiching on your set, adjust the subs crossover to the satellites low-frequency cut off and set the sub volume to match the satellites. If this also doesn't work, bring back your set to your dealer. Merry x-mas. |

From receiver to subwoofer and from subwoofer to the sat's. You have speakerlevel in- and outputs on the backpanel of the sub, haven't you? |
