Hi Guys !

"Per ginana choro, aam khao" !

Let's drop the tech talk and talk some music.

I recently saw this movie "Dor" by Nagesh Kuknoor. An amazing movie - a very sensitive subject presented in a very simple and easy manner. Ayesha Takia comes as a huge surprise (I had a rather different image of hers) - she is brilliantly natural in the character she played. Shreyas is once again very pleasant. Gul Panag looks more like a stage actress in her role than a real life character.

The music by Salim-Sulaiman is superlative. And the song that has been haunting me for last few weeks is the theme "Yeh Honsla" sung by Pakistani singer Rafqat Amanat Ali Khan (of Fuzon - who also sang Mitwa in KANK)- great lyrics (Mir Ali Hussain), great voice and great accompanying voice. Other songs are also brilliant.

Seriously recommended for serious Hindi music & movie lovers.

Totally agree, Sanjay.
Dor is indeed one of the outstanding movies of recent times,
its music is also the sort you can listen to & savour again & again. How does it sound on your new set up?

While talking about Movies....one of the movies that blew me away with its most natural presentation was "Khosla Ka Ghosla". Though the subject was nothing mind-blowing, the direction and exceptionally natural acting by all the characters in the movie was astounding. As the norm goes, its not a big hit..because it doesnt pose SRK or BigB ..but otherwise its a must-watch movie for anyone who appreciates good bollywood movies. I found it to be one of the best-mix of art and commercial movies

Dear Abhi !

You are right "Khosla Ka Ghosla" is a good movie - a really serious problem dealt with in a light fashion.

I also happened to see two more movies recently:

- 15 Park Avenue
- Mr. & Mrs. Iyer

Both are powerful themes directed by Aparna Sen and with great performance by Konkona Sen Sharma. Both the mother & the daughter are brilliant.

In "15 Park Avenue" I liked Konkona, but the movies seems to have lost the thread somewhere. There appears to be something missing in the movie.

Whereas, "Mr. & Mrs. Iyer" was a great story with good culmination and very powerful performance by both Konkona & Rahul bose.

Music has not been anything noticeable in any of the three movies.

One of the best movie which i have seen ever the time. I liked Aaysa acting too much. She has performed very well. Best thing was its story line and cinematogrphy which attracted me too much. I like to watch such kind of movies. Love to watch more movies like it ............
