Hi,

i would like raise the voltage up to 16v. i spoke today with sombody that sells the cyclone from hawker and he was not sure what would happen if i put a 2v bat together with a 12v bat. does anybody out there have any idea what i should do or how i can get to 16v?

Hello,
you can do this with 2 oder 4 Volt Cells, no Problem.
Fiam, Ground Zero, Hawker... some Batterie Manufactors Produce this Cells.

But you should ONLY use them for dB-Drag, for the Burp!!!!

Don`t use this for music and be sure your amps can do this Voltage.

With a normal Batterie an a 4 Volt Cell you get so 17 Volt.

If you wire a 2V cell in series to a normal battery, you'll get 14 V. Of course, real voltage will be at about 15 V, but we speak about NOMINAL voltage, when a normaler car battery has 12V.
IF you want a 16 V setup, you have to use 2 V cells in series or 1 4V cell wired to the 12V. This will result in a 17,0 - 18,0 V real voltage depending on the cells you use.
IF your ampflifiers are able to work at this volage you will get about 20-40% more power - but remember this results in probably 0.5 - 1.0 dB. In my opinion, this amount of higher pressure is easier to get if you work on you box...
