What is the height of the stands ?

The Marble Top seems to be a concern for me....

The marble top is very thick and rigid. Cadence has put in a lot of engineering behind this stand. I have A/Bd it with 2 other stands which were more expensive than these...but these things really stand out.

The height of the stands are 700mm. There are adjustable spikes at the bottom of the stands.

Its the same stand that you saw at my place when you came over.

This stand looks quite nice. Sturdy and has a very high WAF factor. Should work well with all high-quality bookshelf speakers.

I have not put any 'esoteric' gear up for sale, they are all bare simple mid fi products, going at spectacular prices, cheaper than 'Audiogon' delivered in India with import papers and yet no one wants to even look at them, I sure must be doing somthing seriously wrong here.
I need to re-align the way I work.

But, truthfully I am very very happy for you. I wish you all the best !!! I am sure you too will move up the chain and buy gear that 'is beyond' your 'means', because when you stretch that extra bit, it pains and the pleasure is that much more. You will know what I mean, very very soon.

We know just how long back he bought his stuff. He recently bought (and sold) his DAC...and now he's selling off his speaker stands (apparently going for floors to replace his recently bought BM6) and selling of his CDP...so by serious upgrade I meant replacing most of his components at one shot...not many of us are wont to do that...

BTW...big brand names notwithstanding...for most of us even the smallest move could be significant since we are not that privileged when it comes to disposable incomes...

It was not planned....it just happened one after the other..coincidental. I just intended to upgrade my source...so I bought the DAC. Didnt find it great (by my imagination)..HAD TO sell it off . Want to go with one box CDP now..so selling off my NAD. But the speaker change was totally unplanned. Just got a good offer on Dynaudio Contour 1.3SE and immediately stumbled upon a buyer for my BM6 as well so went with it. Sold my Cadence stands because the 1.3SE came with its dedicated stands.

Anyway, with the right electronics, the 1.3 SE is a wonderful speaker. Have heard it only ONCE but I remember them really well! They image brilliantly - and the tonality is quite good too.

Actually there is not enough floor for floors at my place.. . In my room even bigger bookshelves struggle to exist....floors would kill me

With a high quality bookshelf speaker like the 1.3 SE, you do not need FLRS in a medium sized room. This Saturday I was listening to the Proac response 1SE bookshelf speaker driven by a Conrad Johnson 250w/ch SS amp at Prithvi’s. My Jaws almost hit the floor when I heard the clean detailed bass extension it generated in his medium sized room. You need a solid powerhouse amp though. Setup is very important.

I could not agree with you more.

Basically any of the Dynaudio's from the 'old school' were rather inefficient speakers.
They always needed very very clean and powerful amplification.
That is the biggest drawback of these speakers; they may cost 50 K to 70 K in the market now [used i.e.] but they will need amplification & electronics that are far more expensive.

That cost needs to be factored in when Dynaudio's are being purchased - before you guys get off - I am not taking the Audiance Series into consideration [they for me are not Dynaudio's] !! Sorry !!

Even the front end [electronics] CD Player & Cables will ahve to move up to keep up with the 1.3 SE's.

Hmm ya....I understand what you say Bhagwan Ji. Source and cables are almost there for me (after my new CDP arrives) but amp...hmmm...I know my 100 watter is not at all ideal...but going upwards in power and losing on quality is not something I am looking at . Bettering the power reserves while maintaining the quality of amplification is not easy and I would have to wait for it, which I am willing to do.

I think your Plinius should be good enuff to drive the speakers well...
