Entry level HiFi

In sure that all of you will agree that even a entry level HiFi system in India can be an expensive proposition.

However I heard this combo last week at a friend's place which really impressed the hell out of me on that count.

Here is the construct and cost
Source :Phillips DVD - 4K
Amplifier :Norge 60 wpc version - 6K
speakers :Lithos Noah -14K (without the stands which cost an additional 5/6K)
Total system cost - 20/21K

Of course this system will never be the last word in tonal accuracy,soundstaging and the hundred million things that are important to you and I.

But then if you are on a tight budget and want a good warm pleasing sounding system, it does not, IMHO get better than this

Worth checking out.

Another way to better the system is to add a stand alone entry level CDP and some decent interconnects.

Talking about bargains and hi-quality audio on a budget, here’s a combo which people are raving about in the US. I have not heard them but going by the reputation of odyssey audio and reviews at six moons, this is a fantastic bargain to beat at 1500 $
