Hello people,
now i know most of u guys have been mulling around the idea of purchasing equipment from US and elsewhere but are concerned about the supply voltage...
well, below are pics of the transformer that i got on behalf of Junia for his outlaw preamp...
its a 350VA with a 230 primary to 120 secondary conversion..

My 20VA tranny is much smaller compared to this but u get the idea..
they also supply the basic mounting top and bottom plates(one rubber and one steel + bolt)

u guys want more info on this then i suggest u go to toroidal.com and check out their range...
This transformer costed Junia 1525 rupees..if u want a bill then they will charge u 12.5%KST...

i don't understand...i can see the pics in my browser.....
can any of u see the pics or is it a problem with only Sandeep's browser?

hi sachu,
I am using Firefox and i didnt find ur images but i have even checked that even in the internet explorer but i couldnt find it...

best way is through

www.imageshack.ws... and paste the links man so that no matter what browserprobs we can just access it

at least, that's the plan!
How successful i will be i donot know...

Will be receiving the amplifier PCBs tonight..

This transformer is for Junia and is basically a step down tranny to facilitate operation of 120 volt equipment as here the mains are 230 volt..

Dear Junia,
Can u tell me what are the rating of ur preamp? power comumption as well as voltage input so that i can estimate how much is the headroom for the trans...

hi guys,

I am new to this forum.
I am building an amplifier on my own. Total output power of 30W. I had initially planned for a 50W amp. but it required a +/- 24V and around 8A(rms) supply. The cost of the supply was around Rs.2400. So i have decided to go for a lesser power amplifier. I would post my design soon on this forum.
