av receiver+DVD player in budget

one of my customer is asking for AV receiver which gives very smooth and detail sound with power capability of about 40rms into 8hms with less distortion

If DVD player is integrated then no problem he is ready for that one also but he wants to use it for all round like DVD Audio, cd audio, DVD movies, mp3s... please suggest the model nos with brand name and prices..

I had seen some yamaha Home theatre systems at Vijay sales something like the Bose lifestyle system (Lookswise only!)
They loked pretty neat.
But player wise i think Philips is the best to play any thing even badly scratched cds which dont even play on computer CD roms! and there is never any problem of DVD regions.

For smooth detailsed sound, its Marantz 4500 anytime....

Price around 26k...

Philips at 6k upto denon and marantz entry levels at 18k...AVR's mentioned range between 16k to 40k....

my customer is asking for some good hifi for budget ..

He listened to my speakers and he wanted my speakers to hookup to the av receiver His total budget was about 1 lakh

so ihave suggested for 5 speakers my speakers will come to 46k and a good sub in 20k
av receiver 20k
dvd player 15k

I need a direct setup for this..

what about the cost of 5 channel amplifier with just 40wattsRMS into 8ohms.. a good amp for very reasonable price...

I think you can settle for a Pioneer DVD Player for 8k (great for entry level) and save the rest 7k to add on to your AVR and Sub.....A velodyne Sub and a Marantz/HK/Pioneer AVR for around 25k would be the best bet...

BTW Pioneer has a THX certified AVR for 26k (Model: VSX-1014) which has got great reviews as well....

Try if you can get one....

Hi, everyone

I've been looking for a good setup for quite sometime now and I came across abhi.pani's suggestion of Pioneer VSX series. Guess that's a good bet for a budget AVR considering all the features/reviews + THX Select Certification. Could anyone please tell me where I could audition this? I'm from Bangalore.

There is a dealer of Pioneer Audio products at 100Ft road, Indiranagar.
The name of the shop is "Plus Business Machine", Contact No: 080-25359040.

It is just after the Domlur Flyover Junction to the left.

BTW They did not have this particular model when I visited them last.

was just browing thru and got the add of pioneer in bangalore.thanks a lot man.went to search for the model of pioneer VSX 1014 on the website but there is no such model listed as such!pls give the correct model no.thank u!

Try a Google with Pioneer VSX 1014, You will get the info.
BTW if you visit pioneer website you may get the complete specs as well. It might have been upgraded to 1015....

just wanted to keep u all updated that the pioneer amos dealer in bangalore has no stock of the amps except one hi end one at around 2lakhs!they will be getting in around a months time!

I am not sure about its price in India (I havent got a quotation yet from any dealer) but looking at its price in US (around $450), I think it should be available under 30k in India.

450 bucks..
when i was shopping for a receiver i could get the original 1014 for 300$,give or take 30$..
