Hi,
I want to know if there is any sound difference between a 12" or a 10" Sub. Iam plannin to check the Velodyne DPS models. I need in detail, as to how much difference is there in sound output of a 12" and 10" sub. I guess size of the room too comes into consideration. And wat min RMS watt is required for a good qulity and tight sound...

I presume this is for an HT.

The sound charactristic would not matter much but the SPL would.

Size of the Room and the proposed position of the sub should help you decide this.

It means Sound Pressure level.. aka Loudness at that frequency.

advantage of a larger driver is that it can go louder at lower freq.

if you have the budget go for the larger one.. BTW what speakers are u using. hope they go dont at least to 70 hz ?

Polk is the way to go....bang for buck....a good 12" at 14k is worth it's price tag...oh yeah another frined of mine uses polk with klipsch and it's good..

I heard the POlk 12" but they arent tight. It just doest not sync well with the movie. I took a demo of the POlk at one of the Pro FX demo room.
