Hi !

I have been listening to the original soundtrack of the movie "Schindler's List". Music composed & conducted by John Williams and the violin solo by Itzhak Perlman.

An amazing classical composition. Very sad and very soothing.

No it may not appeal everyone but all those who are fond of western classical music or instrumental music should hear it ones at least.

John Williams is an American composer who has done scores for many of the Steven Spielberg's films.

BTW the movie, too, is really great - done in B&W to recreate the World War era. A great depiction of Nazi camps. A must see for all serious movie lovers.

perlman....very very good violinist....

BTW have you listened to Isaac Stern ? Beautiful tone, thats one man who can make the violin sing(IMHO)....an OST recording by him would be fiddler on the roof.....he has many classical recordigs one can enjoy.

yup! saw it the year it came out & then saw it again on VHS (didn't own a DVD player back then! ). it is indeed a fantastic movie with the emotions so superbly depicted on the screen & Liam Neeson did an incredible job as did Ralph Fienes in his diabolical role as gulag commander.

This is a great movie. Would rank up there in terms of our (wife and I) all time favorites.
