Sony DVP-S7700

Does anyone else on the forum own a Sony DVP-S7700 ?

I have had mine for a while and am still delighted with it .

However , I have only recently started to burn my own DVD's and find that this machine will not always play them , while my older and cheaper DVP-S325 in my bedroom plays every disc every time.

I burn my discs on my Apple G4 computer with a Pioneer 108 drive using Toast Titanium or iDVD.

Is it a characteristic of the DVP-S7700 that it will not play DVD-R discs , or is there a fault with my player ?
