Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

Warner Bros CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed that the upcoming "Harry Potter" spin-off, called "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," will be a trilogy of big-budget movies.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is based on a Hogwarts textbook that we saw in the "Harry Potter" movies. It was written by fictitious author Newton Artemis Fido 'Newt' Scamander and is required reading for first-year students. The book contains magical creatures and characters some of which appeared in the "Harry Potter" films.

The movie will focus on Scamander and will be an original story created by Rowling, who is also writing the screenplay, a first for her. Daniel Radcliffe will not return, since the spin-off takes seventy years before Harry Potter arrives at the magical school.
