Dear Bhagwan, I am not the only equation with regards to the XN 360 and the given room. The individual who desires such a result, should want it with all his or her heart too.Appreciation for my art with full and unquestioning faith is the key to my conscience getting the desired result. For me, just by wanting to achieve the result in the physical plain is not enough. It has to be at the spiritual level too.In other words my soul, not just my body should want to do it too. I am always there, the individual who desires the result has to BE THERE in both planes, with me too. This change of attitude may require a huge shift in the thought process of the concerned individual. I hope this mini confession of sorts is not ridiculed upon by other members of the forum. Regards Deaf. |

I am sorry; I cannot connect to all this spirituality I just know that the XN never worked in my room. Simple. The issue of making the goal post bigger so that one can shoot a goal is somthing I may not be comfortable with. The Goal Post remains the same, we need to try and make the ball go in.
I surely wanted the speaker to work in my room - it did not. I had paid for it & went through the problems of importing it etc. Tried for a while - did not succeed & gave up. You too tried, and we were not in a position to get it sorted out. Well that is gone now. That story is passe' so let us move on. All the best to you in all your installs ! I am sure you will continue to do great jobs !!
Rather well put by Shahrukh. |

Dear Bhagwam you are right, my ablities are limited. Dear Shahrukh, getting the thing to be neutral was the target in this experiment. The idea was to remove the boxiness(artificial warmth) for the equation. From neutrality, it is relatively easy for me to shift in any tonal direction I want to.You choose and I'll do it accordingly. . Deaf. PS:That drum kit will sound rich, which never really happens. |

I've heard the Mirages-nice speakers! What did you pair them with? 9x9? That would be just short of wearing headphones! |

Hi, Picked up the January issue of "HIFI Choice" and amidst the review of a CD player lay these words that are apt for this particular thread and for a lot that has been discussed over the last month or so. ...Timing, Pace and Rhythm were found to be spot on. However, I am sure there would be individuals who would love to have a bit more in the mids, the bass more beefier, the highs to soar but then, that would have to be the player adding into the mix and not from the music itselt. In this player, you will have to rely on the music to provide you with emotions or dynamics Hope this thought process is of help to my fellow forum members. Wish you all the best in the New Year to come. Cheers. |

Thats wonderfully put !. But dear friend here the thread was not started with what coloration we like, but what can one live with as it's hard to find a perfect neutral and natural system. Again this review only speaks of CDP, but there are rest in the chain like CD itself, IC's, Amp, Spk cables and speakers..oops room acoustics and any one of them can play havoc with the natural sound we try to acheive.. With this I welcome you to 2007..Have a great year. |
