Spendor Audio in India.

Hello All !

I just returned from Pune. Had a chance to audition the Spendor Audio's 'S' Series.
They have been imported into India by Cadence.
Cadence will distribute Spendor in India.

hmm another one of the old world speakers who,along with KEFs and Harbeths were spun off from the BBC monitor project...

Yes, but Cadence had not imported the Classic Series. The Classic was a Rogers - BBC Monitor 'spin off'
They [Cadence] had only imported the 'S' Series.
I liked the 'tone' of the speaker.
I do not know how they will be priced, but if they are able to sell it @ US / UK Retail price [all inclusive] then the speaker is nice. I would recommend it. An audition would be good. All forum mumbers should try and listen to them.

ive heard the S3 or S% (not sure) -the entry level floorstander when i was auditioning my amp.

It was very nice and well behaved speaker

Spendor is a good old British brand.

The arent aesthetically appealing but they sound really good.

I like these speakers.

Wonder if they'll have the S3/5 SE? Heard a lot of good things about this speaker!

Well from what i was told, they either have it or will be imported.
Only the Classic line will not be imported.

Shahrukh, the speaker is very very small. Sealed box. Interesting to say the least. It was in Rosewood finish.
You will get the chance in 2 weeks.

Precisely why I want to listen to it. My new room is going to sound difficult for a floorstander.

I've also heard a lot of good things about Spendor, never heard them. But I have also heard that they are way too expensive for their worth. Wonder how much they'd cost here with the standard Indian mark up???

they definitely are not flat earth.. i think only Naims and Linns were that ..but not now. Soundstaging is looked upon as very important and they too follow the market
