Hi

I have decided to go for quad 22L or KEF Q7 to go with my Marantz 6000 OSE LE, NAD 1000S pre & NAD 216 THX PowerAmp . Both are around INR 69000/- .

Which one do you feel is a better choise

Or are there any other speaker which I should check before finalizing.

between kef and quad...quad it is !!! by a long shot.
You chould check out the cadence diva. Brilliant speaker for the price. it may be a little cheaper than kef or quad but every bit as good or better.

The price of the cadence bookshelf is 31k + local taxes.
The price of the cadence Diva floorstander is 43 + local taxes.

This is what I think they are.

Hi Manek,

I had a talk with Prithviraj as suggested by Manek. He was mentioning that there are quality problems with Cadence products and he had suggested me to go with ProAC bookshelf or the Studio 125 FLRS(INR 80000/-).

Any opinion on ProAC studio 125 v/s QUAD 22L

Deepug,
Proacs are in a different league and would need much better amplification as well as a better source.
also they generally preferred with Tube amplification

If you intend to retain your Pre/Power combo, the Quads, as mentioned by manek would integrate much better with your setup.

The quad 22L is good. About cadence quality problems ...I dont think so ! he probably gets a bigger margin selling PROAC. I own cadence and they do take the pants of any other speakers in the market in its price range on sound, build quality and finish, thats for sure ! They also use drivers from ETON(germany) which are kick ass, WBT terminals, VDH internal wiring, premium crossover parts....etc...etc...etc !
Seeing and hearing is believing. I suggest you hear the Cadence, quad, proac and others and then make an informed decision.

Hi there. I have the Pro Ac Studio 125 and they are outstanding. Its amazing how a 2 way speaker can sound so good and go so deep. The ProAc BS speakers too are fantastic. Ive heard a couple of them and I was quite amazed at the sound. I may hv joined this discussion a bit late but do audition.

Hi! Deepu,
There no such thing as more margins for Proac. I have very clearly mentioned to you when you came for a demo to buy what you like.

Weather it is cadence, quad, or proac. the decision is left to you. Remeber Loudspeaker are subjective.

It is my duty to let you know about quality problems on products that are not upto mark. If you want quad so be it, it is available with me too. I have never forced anyone to buy anything without they liking it!
