I use the VDH REVELATIONs & 1st ULTIMATE, but recently sold the 1st as murthy's interconnect beat the pants out of it. I am expecting some Cardas and Nordost cables. Rgds Prithvi |

Binoy, Murthy's FINESSE inter-connects are all made against order and will cost Rs 2500 & 7000 (with active shielding). All orders can be placed with me if you like. Regarding VDH, the great Coca Cola is the distributor for VDH and I am not dealing with VDH since Cadence stopped doing VDH, hence cannot source VDH anymore. Rgds PRithvi |

Hi, I have made very good experiences with the Nordost Speaker Cables. They connect my Apogee Full Range in tri wired form with the Super Flatline Gold and they really let the music through. The Super Flats have totally outperformed the Kimber 4 TC that I used before ! They are really worth their price which is very reasonnable. All the best Steven |

very true about Nordost Flatline Gold. Used to use that before but they were too revealing for my speakers to handle ApogeeFreund, what amplification do you use for your Apogees? |

prithvi, How is the lower cost (Rs2500 ) cable of Murthy as compared to higher Rs7000 one ?What is the sonic difference. Right now i am using VdH The Seconds between source and Pre amp and VdH 102 MkIII between Pre amp and quad 99 power amp? Which one do you suggest to be replaced by Murthy's and by which cable? |

Yes, they really sing But what impresses me most is not the bass slam which can be found in conventional speakers too, but its the quality of bass that comes from the large panels... And the most outstanding thing is the detailed and airy overall sound that I havent found on any conventional design. Think no other speaker will ever replace them^^ Would you tell me something about your equipment ? All the best Steven [Beitrag von ApogeeFreund am 26. Feb 2005, 14:26 bearbeitet] |

Hi Steven, I am running Klipsch RF-3IIs speakers. the Amp is a Sugden A21a the CDP is a highly modded NAD 521BEE. I am using Goertz MI2 speaker cables and with it the system sysnergy is very good and the brightness of the speakers is very well tamed The weak link in my setup are the speakers which do the high frequency very well and with a very tight and controlled Bass..but the midrange is not as good and is apparent when playing female vocals and the piano. The system has great timing, soundstaging and a very good dynamic response...but these days the midrange is getting to me a bit so am looking around for a good Bookshelf. I have heard the apogees (Forgot the model) driven by a Pass Aleph amp.. I thought it did great bass for a panel..and being a planar its airiness and transparencywas very very good. only reason i did not go for planars was the very tiny sweet spot...and I like the bass to Kick |

Arj, You said you have a highly modded CDP. Did you do it yourself. I am getting an external crystal and some black gate Caps for my CDP. Do you know anyone who can do this mod for me. Best regards Deepu |
