How is YAMAHA's RX 450 receiver

hi, how's YAMAHA's RX 450 and what might possibly be the price...best speakers recommended???

I heard it. It sounds OK. I guess it is pretty popular in India. In hyderabad it costs 21K.
Speakers - Ask Manek!! Iam learning I guess it depends on the budget. I have heard good comments on Quad 11L, Monitor, Wharfdale in the economy scale (less than 30K)

speakers for yamaha ? any one that is slightly rolled off on the highs and laid back. Yamaha and oknyo amps are a bit coarse/aggressive on the top so you need speakers to not show off that side of yahama, the yamaha should deliver the power you need. BTW what I have found in a few yamaha amps is that their pre-amp sections are far better than their power sections.

You can buy Yamaha from Music Ranch at Jayanagar 4th Block -Ph 26532145. Was a bit bright compared to Denon. Retails for around 20K.

can you elaborate on the sound being bright as compared to DENON.if you have taken a demo can you describe the combination of speaker package and the end resultant sound you heard

Hi

I mean it was like hearing with very high treble, even though it was playing CD Direct. He played with mission & Tannoy. I found Denon's to be more pleasing to the ear. There is a new model of Yamaha - RXV 650. Couldn't hear that - costs approx 26K

I had a chance to audition this against an HK entry level-cannot remember the model.

It is a little bright but should do well for a small/medium room with a good matching speakers (a little flat) speakers.

Anyways looks like a good value for money product at around 20k.

You can check out Denon 1604 at Pro Fx. Going price is 23K.

23k for HK.but do i get all the features which the YAMAHA RX series has or the ONKYO...
