guys in bangalore...here's some good news for all..there are heavy discounts every where and anyone willing to buy can visit any of the outlets and steal away the stuff..... ;)healthy signs are showing up....

That's good news,and it is an indicator towards newer interest,in this new Hi-Fi segment in India.
Can you be more specific,on who's offering what,so that other city member's are benefitted,as well.

most of the oulets in bangalore selling Hifi stuff - denon , KEF ,Onkyo , jamo....it's a rat race to grab business. Some are now available at the same price as they are available in US....

can you be a more specific on the knds of discounts. Since delhi is not that hot a market, i can quote these figures and wrangle discounts

it is still not down to the us rates. the onkyo entry (501,502)receivers are being offered at around 19-20k. bargain a bit and u could land them at lower rates.

hey benks check out polk.....as per US msrp it is cheaper or atleast on par

why are you bent upon pouring shit on people, are you running a part time marketing for polk audio. It's much cheaper in US. They quote $540 per pair in polk website, but ultimately get sold at $300 or so. Rememeber US is one hell of a matured market and these are the tricks played by manufacturers to lure customers.

TROJAN HORSE if you want to make a point there is certainly a better approach and a use of decent language would be required because nobody appreciates your 'I'm smart' behaviour and level headed attitude.

Good ears,iam sorry to reply back aftera long time. Polk is available thru Profx in bangalore and I have no idea in delhi. But the monitor 50 series Flrs priced at 17 k are definetely going to set a new level of performance vs price.The guys at Profx claimed that they are really worth compared other models priced much higher, but I can only commnent on this when i listen to them.....maybe next week.

sub boss, will await the results for your listening test. Can you also please try them with the entry level recievers since my budget wont permit me to go beyond 25K on recievers.

Meanwhile ill check the net for these speakers

Goodears iam actually auditiong these with denon 1404 and 1604, so i guess this is close to your requirement.

i heard the denon 1604. it sounds pathetic compared to the yamaha series in 2 ch mode. but in home theater mode it was very good.
