Opinion on Dali vs B&W vs Jamo

Hi All,

Were checking out Dali speakers, B&W 704 and Jamo X870.

Price wise almost similar. Souns wise I found Dali better than Jamo better than B&W.

Shall like to know other people's opinion also.

jamo x series I was told was mainly for rock/pop...they are party speakers which go boom...boom..boom....all night

quite surrised you should be comparing them with B&W 704. Or do you mean D870 from jamo.

The D870 is quite a amazing speaker.
What kind of music do you listen to ?

Yah, even I have been told the same about the X series of Jamo. I have even heard them once and they just do party stuffs. D series is "WOW".

Sorry. It was Jamo D590. Listened with Denon PMA 1500.

Any opinion on Denon-Jamo, Denon-B&W 704, Denon-Dali Royal Tower, Denon-Polk Audio LSi15 combination ? Which one will go better with Denon 1500 ?

My type of music - Indian film music (mainly oldies till 80s), ghazals, Western Pop/Jazz.

Any input will be really appreciated.

That's what one can get in bangalore in stereo amp with proper warranty and support.

however, also read good review regarding both PMA 1500 and 2000 on net.

yeah why only a denon amp ?

but if its a denon amp you want then the jamo or polk would suit it better

thanks Manek for the opinion.

as i already wrote Denon is the only stereo amp one can get in bangalore with proper warranty and support from dealer. i know some other small shops in Bangalore who can get other brands of amp but they do it only on order and only god knows about the support. and while paying at a range of 50/60k for an amp support is surely one of my concerns.

any opinion on denon pma 1500 vs pma 2000 ? the second one costs almost 30k more than the first where as wattage wise only differ by 10watt rms. any idea ?

Man....hifisound in hyd sends orders to your door...just audition things here and you like em get em...warranty not a prob as they are dealers.....NAD's are available at music ranch with warranty....

I like the pma2000 better, its got better control on everything....but then you could get a better price from profx. Cinebels are not known to come down too much in pricing, atleast in bombay. Pro fx on the other hand once can bargian to a point.

Recently i heard Denon PMA 2000 IVR partnered with Klipsch RF-7. I found Denon to be much overpriced in price performance ratio.

Dear fan of stereo in my short term stint with Ht ..I heard many models of Denon stereo amps as well...not too great and I also feel they are overly priced..esp the higher models like 1500 IVR and 2000 IVR. There are many very good stereo amps at snatch away price like NAD 320 bee, Rotel RA02,cambridge( pritvi has em)...

then Audio Annalogue Puccini is tailor made for your taste of music....Don't worry about warranty and support the dealers here are only worried about sale and once you pay em....it's the end of all....you gotta pester em for rest...hope you had some experinces with your car or two wheeler warranty....Guys like Prithvi are here to help genuinely...visit him...I promise he has what you want..
