Transformer for Harmon Kardon AVR235

Hi,

I require a transformer for the Harmon Kardon AVR 235 to use it in India. I am planning to buy it from US. When I asked the HK people regarding using the same in India with 230V and 50Hz. I got the following reply.

Can you please suggest me the transformer rating required in this case should be more than 1000W or less that 1000W. I am not sure if I can use AVR235 in India to build my HT.

Also, suggest me any of the good transformer company or any website where I can buy the transformer for this.

hi sachin-

even i want to buy the hk avr 235 but am looking at hongkong or singapore- being asia yu dont have volt probs-
and if yu u buy it anywhere outside india warranty wont work in india , so i personally think its better to pick from singapore or hng-

waise where are u from sachin?

i suggest Dubai...
H/K is dead cheap here.
i bought my DVD player for 17k when it was retailing here for 30k..

but for prices i suggest u ask Big_ears ...
i hope its ok for big_ears for me to refer all you guys to him...
he has a much better knowledge of the scene in Dubai..

But still i am not cleared about what rating power supply anyone using having AVR235 in india. I will be thankful if you can provide me the rating of ur power supply who has AVR 235 in india and using it.

I just want to know about NTSC and PAL transmission. I mean can what type of DVD player required to play video with AVR235 in india. As NTSC is not supported in india is there any conversion device we need to buy or it comes with the DVD player or AVR235... Is anyone using AVR235 for watching movies in india? I will be really thankful if you can provide me the complete setup of yours from Power Transformer to speakers, DVD player and all..
