Power amplifier & 5.1 setup @ 50k

I need advice for the following:

1.A multi-channel power amplifier.
2.5.1 setup with 2 floor standers

My budget for these items is around 50k

Considering you already have an av receiver ,you can consider Sonodyne poweramp.But no idea about price..Also consider sonodyne towers..

Hi !

What's your present setup? And what are your expectations out of a system? Are you more into movies or music? Are you willing to sacrifice "effects" in favor of "purity" of sound?

I am more of a music fan. So stero performance has to be top notch.
Also, I know multichannel power amplifiers may be a rare commodity. So I am open to a AV reciver.

My budget is 50k and I need an absolute entry level 7.1 or 5.1 av reciver just to amplify the sound coming out of my audigy 2zs.

I can start with 2 floor standers, 2 surrounds and a center channel.
May add a sub and additional surrounds down the line.

I think I need an absolute entry level av reciver just to amplify the sound. Preferrably a 7.1 one.

So the equation boils down to....
For 50k I need...

1. An entry level av reciver
2. A decent pair of front towers
3. A resonable pair of surrounds and a center channel.

I may add a sub and a pair of surrounds later.

For 50k,you can consider a Denon or Marantz or Onkyo AVR with a pair of good front towers from sonodyne or wharfedale diamond 8.4,or polk,or monitor audio bronze B4[28k],if you can save a little bit on the AVR.where are you based?.you need to listen to all these speakers before you make a decision.you can add the surrounds and sub later.

50K? And flrs? I doubt any entry level amp can power flrs. U might have to compromise - either start with two speakers - or opt for small bookshelves. They should run out of an affordable amp. The small Wharfedale Diamonds might suit you.
