Amp_Nut is not visiting this forum any more

Friends,
Recently I had PM'ed Amp_Nut for some CD player related query and he replied back saying that he is not visiting this forum any more and we could talk on phone. It was an unpleasant surprise and I personally feel it is a major loss to our forum. I know and fully understand that people do come and go in forums like these but this one is a bit of an exception. There were some un-pleasantries exchanged in a recent thread which could have triggered this but I sincerely feel if we can repair this situation it will be fruitful thing for this forum. AN has been a very senior member of this forum and has contributed with some of the most informative posts. IMHO this little incident should not have caused such a drastic outcome.
We are a small bunch of guys who hang around on this forum only because we are like-minded and we share a long time relationship now. Unlike many other forums, this forum has slowly matured into a place where there is less BullS**t and more informative discussion goes on. I also strongly believe that our relationship on this forum has definitely gone beyond just member to member.
To me it is not a good scene so I am doing my part to try and mend this situation. I personally would miss AN on this forum so would heartily want him back.
Amp_Nut, I request you to reconsider your decision for the sake of the long relationship you have had with all of us and this forum.
I also request Manek and others to try and do their bit on this matter.

Hmmmm......

One just can think of this group of ours without any single one of us. The rapport we have with each other is special.

Ofcourse there will be situations where two or more people don't see eye to eye but that's OK cuase a different perspective is always welcome.

Abhi if what you say is true then we surely will be at a loss.

Kind sir's, a request as a friend, bury the hatchet and let's "all" move forward together.

Agree 100%, and even more. The best part of the forum for me as well is the harmony and the unity of thought in the larger context although the individual paths/experience/experience may vary ..and this has got to with a lot of time and arguments in the past.
It has been a great learning experience and the only way i can measure it is by comparing my thoughts today with what I may have posted int he forum in the past...and the forum gets a lot of credit for that which include AN in a big way

AN..dont take such drastic steps..we need u here !

Guys,
the altercation that Amp_Nut & I had is probably (certainly) the reason for Amp_Nut's drastic decision. Immature if you ask me given that he is (age-wise) one of the senior-most member on this forum.
I am willing to resolve the issue 1-1 with Amp_Nut if he is willing.

I think Manek's suggestion of burying the hatchet & moving forward is a good idea. I also am of the opinion that Amp_Nut is a good contributor.
Arguments are going to take place as audio is very subjective but it should not be a reason to walk away from a forum.

Manek, Abhi: do sound out Amp_Nut if he would be willing to accept a PM from me on this issue. Thanks much.

Yes…differences of opinion exist. It has always been that way ! It is there in all forums. But our forum had matured into a place where the number of people who frequent had dwindled but the members share a special rapport…

The ability to laugh at ourselves and to believe that after all this is all about MUSIC.

AN please do come back.

maybe we see AN on the other forum - I will send a link of that forum to him as a mail or a pm & get him to contribute there.
most of us write there too, so we can still have him around...

Aww come on guys.. Differences of opinion are abound. I think both of you have been overly sensitive in that other thread. Its only a fucking online audio forum.

This one is special to me cause i have come to know you guys for over half a decade now and this community is as nice as can be. I have learned immensely from this forum and
especially from both you guys amp_nutji and bombaywallaji.

You both need to relax a bit more. You aren't listening to enough music i think.

I do want to clarify that I Do NOT intend quitting this forum, over which we have established a Friends circle, for the past few years !

I would be a total idot to let 1 person bother me so much as to walk off the forum.

Infact if you do read my post of 16th April, I simply said that I would not post on that thread again.

Given your aggressive mood, I will not revisit this thread again,...........

I CERTAINLY do intend to remain on this forum, and participate, from time to time.

Hope this clarifies my intentions.
