Yup, Pavarotti singing " Nessun Dorma".

Pavarotti,

Nessum dorma, no one sings it like him.

Its probably one aria that he is most associated with.

Yes wonderfull music this particular piece.

Pavarotti, carerras, domingo. You should find this aria on it along with other very delightfull arias.

Good recommendation.
I have this CD & its a perennial delight.Pretty good recording quality.Its manged to capture the ambience quite well.
I also like Andrea Bocelli's rendition.

Bocelli also has a beuatiful voice.

Square wave you can get both at a a decent cd store in bangalore, landmark perhaps ?

Now maria callas was a class act, arguably the best soprano that lived.
Her last days were tragic.

Female soprano voices generally are a difficult to digest for beginners.

Would suggest you explore the male tenor and baritones and then try something higher pitched.

Other fantastic male voice would be titto gobi.

Just picked up the new Jeff Beck album -Emotion & Commotion.

Couple of notable numbers include - Somewhere over the rainbow and Nessum Dorma.

Manek, you ofcourse wil hate the versions

I personally loved 'em. Other tracks include -I put a spell on you (feat Joss Stone on vocals), Lilac Wine ( feat Imelda May on Vocals ) etc,etc, etc.

Very lyrical and understated

Jazz Vocals...she sings guite a few other oldies which can sound odd though as they were sung by males and quite differently.
so songs like Just like a woman and times they are a changing originally by Dylan can sound a bit jarring at first. but i liked her sense of music.
