The new book by Dr.Oliver Sacks: Musicophila - Tales of Music & the Brain is now available in all decent bookstores ( that does not include Crossword. I won't be too surprised if they haven't even heard of the book ;))

I picked up my copy at The Landmark over the weekend.

I'm a big fan of Dr Sacks (The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat, Anthropologist from Mars, Awakenings... ) and this book promises to be as facinating as rest.

Pick up a copy if you are a fan, pick up a copy even if you have never read anything by him, but enjoy reading widely anyway.

Thanks, Krish, it sounds rather interesting. I've added it to my wishlist. Interesting that it comes from the author of "Man Who Mistook...". I've been haunted by this story ever since I read it and saw the videos a few years ago (incidentally also about a musician):
