CD's Burn in?

I am assuming it is not a Prank of yours If you have noticed this change, is it noticable when you hve just powered up your cdp or is it noticable even when you cdp is "warmed up "

I have not really noticed it..but the question could be if it is the Cd getting burned in or ones ears getting adjusted to the music .

pal, It is noticebale when all equipmets have been warmed up...I never listen to music without half an hour warm up session.

Does the new CD once cooked sounds good from then on or do you have to warm it up again after prolonged storage?

I have never left any CD's on a prolonged storage, but it sounds good once cooked as you may like to say so..
Is it got to do any chemical layer during manufacturing which eventually wears off when you start using it from new box?????..

definitely NO ! and the laser in a cdp is too weak to do anything to a cd to change it.

the only effect a player can have on a cd is the "magnetisation" of the metal in it.. there are a couple of expensive tweakes available commercially to cure it.

.. but it is reported to be a spoiler of sound rather than an improver.. hence if you had mentioned a loss of clarity I might have suspected some extra strong magnetic influence in the CDP causing some problem to the CD (I have personally not experienced the demagnetisation improvement yet but hell it could exist)

I know how you can....
Whenever you buy some new CDs, listen to them for a couple of times and then give it to me for a week, I will break it in and then you can do a A/B between your first listen and now.
