Sorry for the horrible grammar!!! :-)

Picked up these recently for 7k or so from an (almost) abandoned warehouse!! The guy was clearing out stuff and i just happened to walk in and discovered these at the back. I know sansui speakers, and i know some of the older ones pack a very very good sound so picked them up. What do you guys think...???? Did i found a find. I have it hooked to my receiver but havent really been able to spend time on them , the back plate indicates that they are 90 RMS , 8 ohms . I havent taken excact measurements but the bass driver seems to be 10 inches.

Not the best snap , taken from my cell. will try and link better ones when i have time.

Dont think one can call it a vintage set put pretty old. Model no. S- 300

If you are looking for fun / party speakers, these are good. But 7k for such old model is daylight robbery

I have owned a series of such clones from Sansui, Kenwood and pioneer a decade back. None of them are audiophile quality standards by any stretch of imagination. They used to sell new for around 5 to 6k those days.

hmmmmm , thats taken the wind out of my sails a bit!!

Well i can always give it back to the guy... i paid him through a cheque so "stop payment" is always an option.

How old do you reckon these would be??

These would be easily 70’s or early 80’s.
Sansui made some of their best stuff in late 70’s to early 80’s.Then they went downhill. Anyway they were known for their amplifiers than speakers. People used to mate some of their amplifiers with some classic vintage speakers from Jbl, Yamaha, AR etc…. Their speakers are not worth that much.
