I anyway always had a doubt on this THX thing. I can understand what Dolby or DTS does but THX has always been fuzzy .

For me...
I am wondering which other 'High End' CD player use the same components and are not dumb enough to keep the same layout.

Have to congratulate OPPO as well that such a player was chosen to represent Lexicon...Cool isn't it.

Reboxing the Oppo player and selling a US $ 500 Oppo player for US $ 3500 by a REPUTED manufacturer is bad, and (to me ) shows a sign of financial desperation.

Well... actually LEXICON has not even taken the trouble to remove the Oppo Housing, but amateurishly placed the ENTIRE Oppo player in a SECOND box.. so I guess this should be called SECOND BOXING, rather than RE BOXING

However, to me, the REALLY DEPLORABLE act is by THX who have put their THX seal of approval on a product that clearly does not meet THX specs. I suspect this is because Lexicon is an 'old and valued' THX customer ? ? ?

THAT makes the THX seal a FRAUD on customers who trust that the THX seal GUARANTEES certain specs that THX widely claims are essential for good sounding home theatre.

The biggest Shame is to THX.
