Hi! Guys,
Some info on the new ProAc Studio 130 & 140 models for you ProAc fans out there.

The Studio 130 replaces the award winning Studio 125 and has taken two years to bring to market. This period was spent re-designing the slimmer and stiffer cabinet, changing the port routing from the rear to the base of the cabinet/plinth and investigating and testing many different combinations of drive unit construction and crossover component improvements.

The Cabinet
This has been redesigned with slimmer and shallower proportions to aid dispersion and is also more rigid. The floor porting now loads the reworked bass driver which features a new chassis and motor assembly, this design combination giving a faster, cleaner bass.

The new 1" dome tweeter which replaces the previous 3/4" dome is similar to those used in their higher-end models and the two units are seamlessly mated via a new crossover network which is split for optional bi-amping and bi-wiring. Every aspect of the Studio 125 has been improved upon with the new Studio 130 and the sound is now nimbler, faster and more open with greater efficiency and detail whilst retaining the trademark ProAc natural sound. The reduced cabinet proportions make it easier to blend in with both traditional and modern décor with a range of four veneer options.

The ProAc Studio 140

Developed from the Studio 130, the 140 has slightly larger cabinet dimensions, an additional bass driver and a reworked crossover network. The sensitivity is high at 91db with a nominal impedance of 4 Ohms. These enhancements produce a significant increase in weight, scale, soundstage and bass power handling making this model an ideal choice for both two channel and home theatre systems where more volume and or sensitivity are required. All these benefits are housed in a package which admirably demonstrates the high build quality that has become synonymous with the ProAc brand.
