Looking to buy Philips EL34 & JJ KT88's

Hi,

I'm looking to buy 12 EL34's and 12 KT88's all new afcourse, if anyone know where I could get them over here in India I would be grateful.

I'm afraid you will have to source your valves from outside India.

EL34s are very scarce here in India, 6550s even more so. There are some unscrupulous dealers remarking and passing of Chinese valves as European ones. Even then the prices are high. You are better of paying some more, and ordering your valves from various stocking houses in Europe or the US.

Coming from a valve manufacturer...viren's opinion you should consider seriously. If you do have a good rap with a few valve amp dealers in India, you could ask them as well. Dont know if they will sell you so many from their stock(if they have stocks)but you may be able to coax them into selling you a couple of pairs.

For example, EL34 and KT88 Prima Luna amps are being sold. Cayin amps use EL34's and others. Cadence use EL34's. So maybe you could try these multiple sources.

This way you may get your tubes but they may not be all of the same brand.

I've just ordered a whole bunch of driver tubes 12AX7 & 12AU7 from a dealer on this forum and also have sourced 12EL34's for cheap here in bombay, so I guess I'm sorted for a while I guess I would order KT-88 in a couple of months.

I'm looking forward to rolling them soon
