Highend surround speakers for DVD audio check this link for a good speaker which crosses 30kHz

The following speaker can use the true potential of your DVD audio by transducing above 30kHz and I think these are the only speakers within Rs 9000 each which crosses 30kHz in the upper frequency.

I have seen at the back of the AV max mag and found only few speakers like

Cadence arca with 35khz costs about Rs 3,89,000

Jbl Ti10k speakers with 30Khz costs about Rs 2,40,000

But the speakers which is in the above link ( check the specs even) can be perfectly used for highend surround speakers also.

Well can u name few speakers which costs in less than 20k per pair and crosses 30Khz.

The generation is switching to DVD audio

Hey Sonic master being a Newbie.I fail to understand why Should anybody need speakers going to 30khz. When i was made to beleive the peak of audible sound spectrum is 22khz. With normal high end amongst humans cutting off at 16-18khz.
Probably my dog will be the only one to appreciate such speakers!
I would love to find out wether we can hear above 22khz. As this is something new to me.

no no its proven that human perception upto 100Khz was practically proven. There is lots of scientific reasons why human perception is upto 100khz and as well as super tweeters provide upto 40khz.

DVD audio extends upto 40Khz as well as the SACD. Search in the google you will find lots of information about DVD audio, SACD and its frequency response

Scientifically you cant hear beyond 22khz but still it matters, 30khz peak ( if voiced properly) will give you more HF pleasure which you would normally get from a Super-Tweeter. This kind of design will easily handle 22khz signal while going upto 30khz during the peak.
There was an example given in this forum regarding this....If you have a Car with a V8 engine that can go as fast as 0 - 100kmph in 3 sec, you will rarely drive it that hard but then it is fun to be driven at lower speeds also !!! because of its sheer capabilities.

The same follows here, you will hear the High frequency much better because it will not struggle for the same. Moreover there is a lot of music in the tracks which you would not hear but feel. So there are so many other factors than the basic science.

But anyway, all these are true considering that the concept is well implemented other wise there is no point in evaluating these specs.
