Im looking for a receiver for HT

1)i want detailed sound.
2)Well built.
3)it should look solid[it should beat my fathers 23 year old
Akai stereo amp]-Reliable-[Unlike my 5 year old sony]
im considering - a] marantz sr-5400/5500
b] CA Azur 540D
c]any Denons?
My budget is about 30k+ Rs. i can stretch
Anyone knows the price of the above mentioned receivers?
i guess Abhipani can help me
Any suggestions.. anyone

Marantz 5400/5500 would cost you around 35k
Azur I dont have an idea yet, I havent auditioned them either.
Denon 1905 would cost you around 28k.

I would recommend Marantz.
But you can look at Azur as well.

I have heard the marantz....nice sounding avr. Please make sure your have efficient speakers with an 8 ohm impednace to go with.

Hi Neono,
I would suggest you contact Pruthvi, for the Marantz you are looking for. My friend Rohin got a set of towers and a receiver from him. He is pretty good.

I donthave the contact numbers right now with me... Will post it tomorrow

Hi, I bought a marantz 5400 in August and I am very happy with it. Its last years model, price in Dubai is 18000/- Dealers in India will try to rip you off as they tried to do me. One qouted 63000/- and another 36000/-. Probably the former dont understand English or too much in a hurry..i dont know..but conmasters they are.
Paired with a bose am-6, was not happy at first as i had placed the speakers about(front and rear 2 mtrs apart, after rearranging and keeping aroung 5 mtrs both ways, getting clean warm sound and no crossfire??!
