yamaha or boston ???

Hey thanks for all that feedback - come on guys. I bought the Boston and it ROCKS.

The engineer from Sharda motor came and set it up - Crossover 80hz set on the reciever with the sub crossover bypassed. Bass from the speakers switched off. (they're bookshelves anyway. The sub is in a corner in front of me.

At 40% volume on the sub, on the opening titles of The Fifth Element, I thought that the windows in the house were going to break. At over 50% volume you feel like turning it down. I spent hours last night listening to my old CDs - they sounded different! Simon and Garfunkel were playing instruments that I never heard before - and with the kids asleep in the next room! Reciever Volume at -35db.

Wow! Go see it for yourself.

This beats the Yamaha silly. The Jbl dealer tried to sell me their 100w S140 sub (15000) saying that Jbl and boston were both good speaker makers therefore 1. forget crappy Yamaha and 2. Buy Jbl because its the same power as the Boston for less money. But at 70% volume the Jbl was no match for this baby.

Truthfully - I was mentally sold on the Yamaha from the past 3 months when I auditioned it (See my earlier post entitled Subwoofer Decision) thinking - 1. Power and 2. Vfm.
I went to see this more out of interest than intention but ...
