Group / Shared Buy For Online HiFi Magazines ?

Hi Everyone,

Leading Hi Fi magazines are Very expensive to buy in their print editions, primarily due to the high cost of postage.

I have also observed that some are not really geared to servicing international customers ( eg STEREOPHILE posts the international magazines, TWO to THREE WEEKS AFER they post to their US customers. That results in international subscribers getting their copies a full month late.

In sharp contrast, Electronic copies of the magazine are made available, immediately after publication.... usually 1 week BEFORE the end of the previous month ( eg last week of Jan for the Feb issue. )

Unfortunately, I prefer to read my magazines while relaxing in bed and not sitting upright in front of a computer.

hence for me the E-subscription does not give me the same fun as the hard copy, and I am reluctant to invest in the E-subscription, for multiple magazines.

I wonder if anyone else on this forum is willing to split costs with me for a shared buy to the following electronic subscriptions:

THE ABSOLUTE SOUND:
Print subscription to India is US $ 55 per year (10 issues per year)
E-Subscription (As a pdf file, probably unlimited share via password ) is only US $15 per year.

Hi Fi + (UK):
Print subscription to India is UK Pounds 54 per year (7 issues per year).
E-Subscription (As a pdf file, probably unlimited share via password ) is US $25 per year.


STEREOPHILE:
Print subscription to India is US $ per year (12 issues per year) is US $ 37
E-Subscription (Via Zinio – I think can be legeally shared by 1 + 2 friends ) is only US $10 per year.

I would be happy to split costs with all equally, and either subscribe in my name or pay someone else who will subscribe.

The share copies of the magazines will ofcourse be available to all shared subscribers in very short time, from the original subscriber ( usually same day if not in a few minutes ... )

I don’t think this is illegal, since even hard copies can be shared with friends.

Even Zinio allows the e-copy to be share with a limited number of others, each month.
