kenwood better than alpine.

Hi,

OK i had my alpine running on my front system RA 3 way not the reference. and was very unhappy. the minds were extremely loud and a screaming high tone. we changed out the crossover to the original RA crossover and it was a lot better but still at a certain volume level not that what i wanted. my handler said to change to my kenwood and see if that would help. after the kenwood was installed what to my wondering ears but a very nice soft and true sound.

. the minds were a lot more in tune with the TMT and tweeters and the bass from the back had a lot better sound. with the alpine i tried everything it is a older 7969r. the crossover i tried and that helped a little but i could not get the minds the where i wanted them. the kenwood is also a louder high end unit the PS909.
i would just like to hear your thought.

hello,

i once made a really similar expirience, comparing an Alpine 9835 with a Pio 8600. Especially the tweeters were too much to my ears - amazing cause using a vrx for it.
The subs also made a big jump forward.
