Technics SU-C1000: Probleme mit Akku

Hallo,

vorgestern hab' ich mir u.a. die oben genannte Vorstufe von Technics zugelegt, die als besonderes "Gimmik" eine Akku-basierte Stromversorgung aufweist. Anfangs lief auch alles gut, leider leuchtet seit gestern die Anzeige "charge" ständig, "level" blinkt (was lt. der BDA soviel heisst wie "Akku platt") und es ist aus der Vorstufe ein ständiges Relais-Schalten zu hören. Ich schätze mal, die Elektronik schaltet ständig in den Auflademodus und zurück.

Da ich die Vorstufe so oder so ohne den Akku betreiben wollte hab' ich das Teil jetzt also einfach rausgenommen - der Betrieb bleibt wie erwartet weiterhin uneingschränkt möglich und das Relais-Geräusch ist weg. Allerdings blinkt die Level-Anzeige weiterhin. Das stört.

Hat irgendwer 'ne Idee, was ich dagegen machen könnte? Ausser die LED abklemmen oder überkleben? Überbrücken irgendeines Kontaktes, sodass ein eingesetzter (aber inaktiver) Akku vorgegaukelt wird? Oder könnte das mit der Ladefunktion Probleme geben? Nicht dass mir die Kiste nachher abfackelt...

P.S.: Nur um Mißverständnisse zu vermeiden: Ich hab' "standartmässig" die 1010 in Betrieb, die 1000er hab' ich mit einer Endstufe aus der Serie im Paket bekommen und werde die wohl erstmal einmotten für den Fall der Fälle, das die 1010 mal ausfällt...

ich habe das selbe Problem, war es bei Dir der Akku oder was anderes?

Hi,

This problem is not really a problem. The service manual explains (...on page 9) why the level-indicator is blinking.
The flashing level-indicator shows the battery not installed or being defective.
The 9,6V/600mA akku has Panasonic partno.: P06RM8A13
and can be found on stock at ASWO, partno.: 2348617

Of course the LED can be disconnected, but REALLY!! Doesn't this nice amplifier deserve to be repaired and to be used as intended?

Does the battery have to be the original Technics spare part or is it possible to use a battery with the same characteristics?

Hi,

Actually the battery consists of 8 NiCd cells.
Use a sharp knife and cut the original black plastic wrapping.
You'll see just how easy it is to build your own battery from standard cells.
BEWARE!!
If you buy cells WITHOUT soldering terminals be carefull NOT to overheat the cell when soldering. Clean the metal-surface with a 'glassfazerpinsel' for better soldercontact.
Be very carefull to orientate every battery correct. If you reverse the polarity of a single cell, in the best case something will become VERY hot, and in the worst case, the cell will explode!!

Actually, I would experiment with using NiMH cells instead of the old NiCd type. You'll get a much longer life from the NiMH but the charging circuit has to accept them. In general no problem, in practice: Who knows...?!

If you instead decide to dump the amplifier in the trash, let me know. I'm in the market for a decent preamp

I've replaced the battery with one having nearly the same specifications (9.6 V, 800 mAh) and it works, the battery has been charged. But I had to use NiCd, NiMh din'T work at all it got quite hot. The amp works perfect now.

Finally I got one!!
Had to go across the country to pick it up just 20Km north of the German border.
Dead battery, of course but as you know that can be fixed
