Vielleicht habt ihr Glück das die Drehzahl des Lüfters runtergeregelt wird...

Allso wenn ich updaten will sagt er mir : Server nicht gefunden!

Weder auf toshiba.de noch auf highdefinitiondvd.eu steht das ein update für den XE1 verfügbar ist.

Woher hast du die INFO?

schade bei mir is auch nix mit update, krieg die selbe info.

Das wusste ich leider schon, denn bei den Ami´s ist der Fehler auch noch drin Allerdings hatte ich wegen der Verzögerung in EU die Hoffnung noch nicht ganz aufgegeben...

Stimmt - ohne Reset geht da nichts.

Ist der Player jetzt endlich leiser?

An der Lüfterdrehzahl wurde nichts geändert - der Player ist also genauso laut bzw. leise wie vorher, je nach Standpunkt

Entweder gibt es wirklich verschieden laute Exemplare, oder es wird einfach von jedem anders aufgenommen. Mein XE1 wäre mir bei einem Abstand von sagen wir mal unter 3m vermutlich auch zu laut. Glücklicherweise sitze ich aber fast 5m vom Player weg, zusätzlich kann ich noch eine Glastür zufahren. Daher ist das Geräuschniveau für MICH in Ordnung, aber nur aufgrund der eben genannten Umstände !

Overview:
As part of our commitment to provide world-class services to our customers, Toshiba is supplying this firmware update for use by purchasers of Toshiba HD DVD Player models HD-E1 and HD-XE1. This firmware update addresses certain disc playback and HDMI/DVI related problems identified by Toshiba.

How to obtain and install the update:
If you have a broadband internet service, you may obtain the firmware update over the internet using the Ethernet port on the back of your HD DVD Player. Instructions for configuring the Ethernet port and downloading the firmware update can be found in the owners manual for your HD DVD Player. This can also be viewed online at: www.toshibahddvd.co.uk

Set out below is an overview of the process:
- BEFORE BEGINNING THE FIRMWARE UPDATE PROCESS, BE SURE TO REMOVE ANY DISCS FROM YOUR HD DVD PLAYER.

- Follow the directions in your owner’s manual to configure the Ethernet port. You may need to turn on DHCP and DNS.

- After you have configured the Ethernet port, follow the directions in the owner’s manual to check for a firmware update.

- If a firmware update is available for your player, it will take about 20 minutes to download and install. Once the firmware update download process has finished, the player’s power will automatically switch off. You must wait until this process has finished.

- DO NOT UNPLUG, TURN OFF, OR USE ANY OTHER FEATURE OF YOUR PLAYER DURING THE FIRMWARE UPDATE PROCESS. Doing so will cause the writing of the firmware update to the player to be halted and the player may no longer operate properly. If the player stops working, please contact Toshiba Customer Service on 01159 766958.

- If no firmware update is available, the player will quickly exit the update process.

- Please refer to the owner's manual for additional details.

- If you do not have an Ethernet-based broadband connection for your player or prefer not to use one, you may contact Toshiba Customer Service on 01159 766958 and request that a firmware update disc be sent by mail.

- You can update the firmware using this update disc by following the instructions provided with the disc.

A3. The firmware update addresses and improves HDMI and DVI connectivity. If you still experience problems, try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable. Make sure your display input is set to HDMI (or DVI). If your display has more than one HDMI/DVI input, make sure that all connected HDMI/DVI source devices are powered on (even if not in use). If none of these solve the problem, please turn off the TV and the HD DVD player. Check all connections. Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable. Turn on the TV first and then turn on the HD DVD player. Should you continue to experience problems, please contact Toshiba Customer Service on 01159 766958.

Q4. During HD DVD playback I sometimes experience pixelization, block noise or audio dropouts. Sometimes playback freezes or stops. Sometimes, playback is not smooth. Does the new firmware address these issues?

A4. This firmware update addresses various playability issues. You should also check to be sure that the disc is clean and, if the disc will not operate at all, that you are inserting the disc with the right side up. Q5. Do I need to install prior firmware updates before installing the current firmware update?

A5. No. The current firmware update includes all of the prior firmware updates.

Kann mir jemand helfen? Bin leider kein "Netzwerk-Kenner".
Ich bekomme auch immer die Meldung: Kein Server gefunden

Aus meiner DSL-Box hab ich das Netzwerkkabel, das eigentlich im Laptop steckt, mit diesem Magneten direkt in den Toshi gesteckt.

Wo habt ihr was eingetragen und wo finde ich die Nummern alle?

Subnetzmaske denke ich, kann so stehen bleiben (255.255.255.0)
Gateway keine Ahnung, was das ist, unter meinen Eigenschaften konnte ich noch eine Client-IP-Adresse ausmachen - ist es das?

DNS
Ein oder Aus?
DNS-Server Hab ich irgendeine Nummer aus dem Internet für Stuttgart eingetragen.

Proxy-Einstellungen
Aus oder Ein? Was eintragen und woher hol ich die Daten?

Benutzerdaten
Ja, eigentlich dachte ich, es reicht, hier die richtigen Daten einzugeben, aber mein Benutzername wie ich ihn von T-Online eingeben soll, ist doppelt so lang, wie Platz vorhanden. Habt Ihr Euer Zeug da rein bekommen?

Netzwerkgeschwindigkeit
Hab ich 768/DSL/Kabel gewählt, obwohl ich so eine 3000er DSL hab.


Wie man es schon raushört, ich bin der Volllaie !!

Was ist das denn für eine "DSL-Box"? Wenn das nur ein DSL-Modem ist, kann das nicht funktionieren. Du brauchst entweder einen Router, oder mußt per NAT ("Internet Connection Sharing" in MS-Lingo) über einen PC gehen.

Öhh ja, es ist das DSL Modem. Also Router besorgen oder Toshiba anrufen zwecks Update-CD - danke.
Am Beamer hab ich nichts gefunden zwecks HDMI-Farbraum, warte noch auf Antwort vom Benq Support. Toshiba kanns auch nicht,das Update ist die letzte Hoffnung, ich glaub, ich geb ihn sonst zurück und hol mir einen Denon 1930, der läßt sich umstellen
