Buena Vista hat auf der CES in Las Vegas die ersten Blu-ray Disc-Veröffentlichungen für den europäischen Markt angekündigt. Die ersten Filme sollen im März auf Blu-ray Disc erscheinen. Buena Vista will die Filme überwiegend auf 50 GB-BDs veröffentlichen und wartet mit einer großen Anzahl von Blockbustern auf, die aufgrund der exklusiven Unterstützung des Blu-ray Disc-Formats von Buena Vista vorerst nicht auf HD DVD erscheinen werden.
