Tonkopf , Löschkopf ausschalten

Hallo,

ich habe hier ein altes Evans-Vocal-Echo Gerät. VE-80 .
Es ist ein Band - Delay .

das Gerät verfügt insgesamt über 4 Tonköpfe. 3 x Wiedergabe , 1 x Lösch .

ich habe nun den Löschkopf mit einem Schalter versehen, um die Löschfunktion auszuschalten.

Funktioniert auch, d.h. ich kann so klänge "schichten ".

Nur beim umschalten, knackt es ; und das knacken wird mit aufgenommen .

gibt es eine möglich ,den löschopf ohne knacksen auszuschalten ? ( Kodensator and den schalter ?? )

Für einen Tip wäre ich echt dankbar.

Hi,

Interesting. I didn't think any had survived because the last time I remember seeing an echo-machine like that was in the mid-70'ies.
Does the erase-head function with DC-voltage applied or does it have an erase-oscillator?
If it's with DC (Like the first VERY bad far-east cassette-players that did this or had a moveable magnet in place of the erase-head) I suppose applying the DC through a resistor followed by an electrolytic capacitor should dampen the click heard. Resistor/capacitor values uncertain, try 4,7 - 27 Ohms and the capacitor 10uF - 100uF and as many volts at least as the DC applied.
If NOT DC is used but there is an erase oscillator available, perhaps this oscillator could be 'soft-started' by doing the same in the supply-line of the oscillator. A resistor and an electrolytic capacitor of same values as mentioned above.
