Worin liegt der unterschied zwischen HDCD und SACD ???
was für ein format ist besser.
wie wird es mit dem kopieren solcher cd sein ??? bleibt die qualität ???

Hallo,

HDCD basiert auf der CD-Technologie und ist kompatibel zur CD. Die SACD ist eine eigene Technologie. Man sollte beides nicht in einen Pott schmeissen.

Hi,

Wie Markus_P. schon sagt zwei KOMPLETT unterschiedliche Technologien.. HDCD ist nur eine kleine Verbesserung von CD.. nichts besonderes.
SACD hingegen ist multichannel fähig, hat eine höhere Samplingrate, mehr Dynamic, etc. etc.

Q: What is the technical difference between CD and Super Audio CD?
A: The CD uses 16 bit PCM recording technology at a 44.1KHz sampling rate. The frequency response of the CD is limited to 22.05KHz and its dynamic range is limited to 96dB. The SACD format is based on DSD-recording-technology, which uses 1-bit delta-sigma modulation and a sampling frequency that is 64 times higher than that of the CD. This enables the SACD format to offer a frequency response of 100KHz and a dynamic range of 120 dB across the audible range that allows for true reproduction of original source material without the omission of any naturally occurring sounds.

Q: What is SACD?
A: Super Audio CD is a new format developed by Philips and Sony. It uses DSD (Direct stream digital) and a 4.7GB disc with 2.8 MHz to give the consumer an audio experience so real you think you are in the recording studio or front row at a concert.

Das mit dem Kopieren ist so eine Sache.. eigentlich bleibt digital=digital, 0=0, 1=1..
SACD werden aber nicht digital ausgegeben (Decodierung erfolgt im Player, Ausgabe über 6x CHINCH analog), bzw. wenn, dann nur verschlüsselt (Denon Link, ..) und somit "nicht kopierbar"...
