Hi, I am planning to upgrade my onkyosr500 receiver. Oknkyo dealer here in blore qouted a exchange price of 9.5K for my old receiver. So if I buy sr503 from him, I will have to pay 15K extra (503 costs 24.5K). has anyone bought this receiver? how is it? what are the other options I have. I have a Onkyo DVSP500 DVD player and profx tower speakers(120W - for mains). |

Also this receiver is 7.1 I dont have space behind my sofa to place the rear surrond speakers. Any ideas on this? |

place the surround speaekr 5 feet abvoe the ground . Get some custom made stands made to raise the speakers..or use two slabs of wood to make stands and mount them using brackets at that height. Cheers, Sachi |

But in that case, the speakers will be right above my head. I have never heard a 7.1 system. read somewhere that the rear surround speakers should be 2 feet behind the listening position. |
