Hi,
I am new to this group. I am planning to buy a HTB from US and planning it to bring it to India I would appreciate if you guys could answer some of my questions.

1. I have a budget of 500 USD. I am not sure whether I should go with Onkyo, Denon or Yamaha( Home theatre in a BOX)?
2, what is the difference between Onkyo HTS 770 receiver and Onkyo TX SR 502?

3.If I buy HT-S570( HTB) does it matter if I don’t have a
S-Video input?

4.Since I have to carry it back to India , I would like to purchase a good receiver and small speaker like one come with HT S570 , which should have at least 100 W RMS /channel Any suggestions?

No avr will belch out 100wrms under $500 let alone htiB's..if you get 30 watts per channel you will have your neighbours trembling..AVR of 770( known as 820 series or something) looks identical to TX SR 502 but there are diffrences...download manuals from onkyo site to know them.Buying Onkyo stuff from abroad the advantage you enjoy is warranty here....

pay half the price and enjoy international warranty..but check with your dealer...

If it has to be onkyo, then it should be HTS770 and beyond.

Tx-sr-502 is a reciever, you have to buy seperate speakers to build your HT.

HTB is one of the most VFM products from Onkyo and make sure that you get the best one in your budget..

In India it costs almost double....

I have planned to go with Onkyo Whihc one Should I buy.. I am completely depending on u guys.. pls suggest

1. HTs 570 ( HTB) (250 USD)
or

2.TX- SR502 receiver and Onkyo SKSHT425 Speaker system
(200+200 USD)
or
3. TX SR 502 receiver and JBL SCS136SI or SCS160SI Speakers.
(200+300 USD)
Does it worth spending extra?
